How co-funding support works
Native planting can improve water quality, protect erosion-prone land and strengthen long-term farm resilience — but successful projects need the right plan behind them.
Restore Native helps farmers and landowners identify relevant co-funding pathways and prepare the practical details often needed before applying.
How we can help
Prepare a practical planting plan and quote
Identify co-funding options that may suit your property, farm type or supplier relationship
Work with you to prepare the application using your site information and project goals
Help turn practical farm and planting information into clear supporting documents funders are often looking for
Provide plant schedules, site details and project costings
Supply native plants across the North Island
Deliver full-service planting and maintenance across Waikato and Bay of Plenty
Been approved for Fonterra Funding?
Eligible suppliers may be able to claim up to $1,500 toward native planting* — but 30 June is approaching fast.
We can help guide farmers through the practical planning and next steps needed to get projects underway.
*Eligibility and reimbursement subject to Fonterra criteria and approval. Fonterra T&Cs apply.
Common co-funding pathways
Depending on your property and project, support may be available through:
Dairy processor programmes
Regional council funding
National tree-donation programmes
Catchment, iwi or community restoration funding
Carbon / ETS pathways for eligible land
Each programme has its own criteria, timing and application process. Some offer reimbursement, some provide trees directly, and others support wider farm assurance or environmental outcomes.
Good to know: Funding criteria, availability and programme details can change over time. Read our important information about co-funding support, applications and eligibility.
