Akeake
Akeake is a beautiful and vigorous colonising native.
They come in a green and purple variant so can also add some colour to your project.
They flower around christmas time and provide good food for bees.
As they get larger they get a little bit leggy and are often out competed by other species but they're a great addition for that first ten years of establishment with vibrant colour and aggressive growth.
