What you get:
Practical farm‑fit native planting plans that respect paddocks, infrastructure, and stock movement.
Locally grown young natives and species mixes suited to your land.
Professional planting and timely releasing/maintenance for strong establishment.
Help to coordinate co‑funding (e.g. regional council) to maximise support.
Ongoing monitoring so plantings deliver on ofi funding intent.
Note on funding: ofi's funding varies by project. We’ll confirm the split in your plan and quote.
How it works
On‑farm visit. We meet on site to discuss your and planting goals for your farm including:
Site advice. We identify suitable areas and recommend native species that fit your land.
Map & plan. We drone‑map, mark areas, plant numbers
Quote We prepare a clear plan and quote.
Additional Co‑funding. Where possible, we coordinate with other funders (e.g. Waikato Regional Council).
ofi approval. Your project is submitted to ofi to approve their funding portion.
Delivery. Restore Native manages planting and ongoing maintenance.
Monitoring. Restore Native works alongside ofi and tracks establishment to ensure outcomes align with ofi investment intent.
What the funding may cover
A portion of plant supply and planting services.
Planning and mapping support.
Establishment maintenance (releasing) during the critical first seasons.
Your likely contribution may include:
The balance of plant supply/planting.
Any site prep (e.g. fencing, stock exclusion) not covered by co‑funders.
We’ll help you maximise co‑funding and set clear expectations before any work starts.

Does ofi pay 100%?
No. The funding varies by project and is based on a contribution to each tree planted for eligible applications. We confirm your share in your plan and quote.
When is planting done?
Planting is typically scheduled in cooler, wetter months; planning can start anytime.
What species will you use?
A site‑appropriate mix of young natives suited to your soils, moisture and goals.
Can you help with council funding?
Yes. We’ll coordinate co‑funding where available to stretch the budget further.
