Trees for Schools
Terms & Conditions

  1. Restore Native’s Trees for Schools initiative is open to rural Waikato schools only.

  2. Eligible schools may apply to receive up to 100 free native plants for a school-based planting project.

  3. Registrations close on 30 June 2026.

  4. Plant numbers, grades and species are subject to availability and will be confirmed by Restore Native after registrations have been reviewed.

  5. Schools may indicate their preferred plant grade, preferred species and preferred collection date, however final plant selection will depend on nursery availability and suitability for the school’s project and location.

  6. Successful schools will be invited to collect their plants from Restore Native's Cambridge based nursery during the confirmed July collection days. Delivery is not included.

  7. To help us keep Trees for Schools growing, we ask participating schools to share a short update after planting where possible. This may include a few photos, a short quote, or a quick note about where the trees were planted.

  8. Any student images shared with Restore Native must have the appropriate school permissions. If student photos aren’t possible, photos of the planting area or finished project are still very helpful.

  9. Restore Native may use approved school names, project details, quotes or images to help share the impact of the Trees for Schools initiative.

  10. Submitting a registration does not guarantee plants will be supplied. Restore Native will review registrations and contact successful schools directly.
