Māhoe
Māhoe is a fast growing native which fruits profusely in late summer.
Preferring things a little bit damp or shaded Māhoe can be a bit slow to establish but after the first couple of years it starts to rocket along in the right conditions.
A plant best suited to damper areas the fact that Māhoe produces a number of flowers and fruit make it an excellent food source for native birds.
