By farmers, for farmers
At Restore Native, we help farmers plan and deliver large-scale native planting projects built for real-world farm conditions.
We provide full-service planting for farms across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty, with plant supply available for projects across the wider North Island.
Native restoration is one of the most effective ways to transform unproductive land into long-term value and support your farming goals — reducing erosion, protecting infrastructure and safeguarding your land for the next generation.
Our full-service option takes care of all the hard work — planning, prepping, planting and ongoing maintenance — so your project is practical, cost-effective and built to last. We use hardy, fast-establishing native species grown in our Waikato nursery, and we work alongside councils, catchment groups and rural advisors to streamline the entire process.
If you’re based in the Waikato or Bay of Plenty and planning a planting project, we’ll walk the farm with you and map out the most practical approach for your land and goals.

It's Spring Release season
At Restore Native, we don’t just plant trees — we stand behind them.
Whether you’ve planted yourself or used another contractor, our team are the pros when it comes to releasing.
Clearing back grass and weeds gives your young natives the best chance to establish and grow strong. We know when and how to release for the best results — keeping regrowth down and your plantings thriving long term.
Don’t leave it too late — if your trees are ready for a spring release, we can help
Our mission
Our mission is simple: restore native forest on land that’s not suited to farming — strengthening your business and the environment at the same time.
We want to help farmers take pride in their land by improving biodiversity, reducing erosion and nutrient loss, and building long-term environmental resilience. It’s about supporting the work you’re already doing to be excellent stewards of your land.
And we believe this shouldn’t cost the earth — or be complicated. That’s why our approach is “by farmers, for farmers.” We understand what works because we do it ourselves, on our own farm and alongside many others across the region. We bring that practical know-how to every riparian and revegetation project to help you achieve results that last.
